My name is Maureen Faughnan. I have been running my Playgroup in Palmerstown since 1987. I have 3 of my own children plus about another 800 that I have been privileged to help on their journey through education. I have all the required childcare qualifications plus I am certified to tutor other playgroup professionals in attaining their qualifications. My hobbies include walking, reading and spending time with my grandchildren. One of my main pleasures is meeting my past pupils and I am very proud that, already, 4 of my past pupils have sent their own children to my Playgroup.
My name is Lyndsey Power. I have completed my FETAC Level 6 childcare qualification. I started studying for the Level 8 degree programme in Maynooth University in 2015. I am looking forward to the arrival of my first child in 2017.
My name is Barbara O’Connor. I’m married with 3 children. I have completed Fetac Level 6 qualification. I enjoy reading, baking and eating (but definitely NOT the stuff I bake)! I have worked with Maureen in the Playgroup since 2011 and prior to that, I worked in the local girls’ primary school.
My name is Samantha Faughnan. I have 1 child Sean, who is 11 and an absolute joy some of the time! I achieved my Fetac Level 6 Award in childcare in 2015. I have worked with Maureen in the Playgroup since 2013 and prior to that I worked in other playgroups. My hobbies include walking and texting, and usually texting while I am walking!
